Regardless of what your child may tell you...WE WANT YOU HERE! Parents make up an integral part of the community and we cannot function without you. So fill out the following form and get it to Mr. McAllister or Ms. Welchel. 
We'll see you soon... the Viking Band Community is a GREAT PLACE TO BE!

"I'm in! Now what?"

  • We need chaperones! We simply need a few (or a lot) of parents every time the band travels. 
  • Come to performances! All of them! 
  • Specific Volunteering - helping with food, moving equipment and props (during marching season), and other opportunities that arise​
  • Find more musical opportunities for your child
    • Summer Band Camps
    • Private Lessons
    • Buy Music for Them!
    • Encourage regular practicing! 
A major goal for the parent "team" is to keep the students focused on learning/​performance and the directors focused on teaching. 
Boosters
Our district is gracious and we get a great budget. However, our budget only covers the basic operating costs. Fundraising helps us give our students an ideal band experience (much better than an adequate band experience)
